HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CERAMIC VASE SHAPE FOR DECORATION?

Nowadays, thanks to the artist’s creativity, there are many unique vase designs to decorate and flower arrangements and you are wondering which vase to choose. We would like share some styles of ceramic vases which are suitable for the type of flower you like.

Firstly, you have to know how big your space is and its function. Remember that the length of each flower should be no more than two times the height of your vase.

COLUMN/ CYLINDER VASES

If the vase is too big, you can place it in a corner of the room.

Best suited for: gladioli, peony, rose, hydrangea, sunflower, statice and lilies, gladiolus

ROUND VASES

A round vase is one of the most classic styles of vase available.

The vase with a large neck can hold the bunch of flowers yourself so that the stems remain in close contact and then the heads fall where their weight leads them. Ensure your vase and flowers complement one another, you should cut the stems short so that the flowers’ heads rest on the rim of the vase to form a floral dome.

Another shape is A narrow neck (also called a flared neck). According the Asian Feng-shui, the vases with small flare necks will bring luck and prosperity. This shape represents the fact that a plenty of wealth or money can flow in, down through the narrow neck and into the broad area, where it will accumulate and remain for a long time.

Best suited for: peony, delphinium, snapdragon, dianthus, alstroemeria, gerbera, tulip and rose. You should choose the thin stems as it will hold your arrangement together tightly.

MILK JAR VASES

This style is designed to look fancy and quite interesting when arranging flowers.

 

Best suited for: tulips, soft flowers, or wild flowers like chrysanthemums.

Anyone who likes vintage, rustic style should choose this vase!

BOTTLE/BUD VASES

As the name stated, a small narrow vase for holding a single flower or small bouquet.

Best suited for: You only need a few flowers with big flowers to stand out like peony, lilies!
